Festival season is just around the corner, and whilst you may start off with the perfect side braid and artfully applied make-up – crowds, camping and crazy weather can really throw your look off point.  So to get you ready for the most Instagrammed season of the year, we’ve asked three top bloggers to share their style, beauty and wellness secrets. To keep my hair in tip-top condition I swear by argan oil – after washing I’ll always run a coin sized amount of it through the ends. As well as moisturising the hair and prepping it for the hot summer sun it also adds a beautiful shine. I tend to keep styling pretty low-key and opt for beach waves with flower crowns, a bandana or a hat.

On her beauty must-haves…

Festivals can take a real toll on our skin, so to maintain a flawless complexion over the weekend, tinted day cream is crucial. Not only does it keep your skin hydrated but it also helps to achieve a flawless finish. Make-up wise I will keep it very natural – a tiny bit of mascara and highlighter is all that’s needed for a perfect summer glow.

On her style essentials …

I’d describe my festival style as clean, edgy and comfortable, with a definite rock ‘n’ roll vibe. I’m always looking for something vintage and unique to pair with my high-waisted denim shorts.

On her wellness prep…

In the run-up to festival season I like to do some HIIT workouts as they’re easy to complete at home without any equipment. It’s so important to stay hydrated so I will never leave the tent without a bottle of water in hand.

On her haircare remedies…

I have bleached blonde hair but during summer but I opt for a brighter Scandinavian tone. It makes my tanned face and green eyes pop. I like a natural hairstyle, but I’ll definitely try a braided hairdo this year. Being in the sun means you have to take extra care of your hair. I use a UV protection spray to keep my locks shiny and hydrated, and I can’t go to a festival without dry shampoo. It keeps my hair fresh and adds texture to every style.

On her beauty must-haves…

Typically I don’t spend a lot of time on my nails. I usually keep them natural – but for a festival I’ll go for a style that matches my outfit, with a graphic or metallic detail for example. My quick-fix beauty products consist of a great concealer, mascara, tinted BB cream (instead of foundation), bronzer powder and a SPF face serum.

On her style essentials…

I still love the boho and seventies look. Western ankle boots, flared pants, bell sleeve blouses, earthy tones, floral prints, choker necklaces and oversized sunglasses. Hailey Baldwin is totally rocking that cool seventies flair at the moment.

On her wellness prep…

I eat healthily all the time, especially in the summer with lots of fresh fruit, grains and vegetables. However, before festival season I do like to start my summer with a juice cleanse, as a way of ensuring my good habits stay on track. The sun is my saviour during festivals! I don’t like to sleep much whilst I’m there, so I’ll soak up some vitamin D, have a coffee and be good to go. A little siesta during the day is also optional!

On her haircare remedies…

I’ve started wearing braids to keep my hair styled and protected during the summer months. This is the perfect way to keep your hair tidy and out of the way whilst still being on trend. For longer festivals e.g. Glastonbury, I take hair creams and oils to keep my hair looking healthy and frizz free. Sometimes however (particularly after torrential rain), there is nothing else I can do but hide my hair under a chic fedora or wrap it up in a funky headscarf.

On her beauty must-haves…

I always make sure I take my make-up off properly and cleanse thoroughly after a long day of dancing in the dust and the dirt. As for make-up, I’ll wear a light coverage foundation that conceals whilst also being gentle on my skin. Perfect for the lightly sun kissed look I like to achieve during festival season. I’ll also keep a nourishing lip balm in my handbag as a quick fix solution for dry lips and an anti-pollution face spray to freshen up and protect my skin from harsh chemicals in the air.

On her style essentials …

Whenever I’m visiting Bicester Village, I always make sure I head to Sandro and AllSaints for those extra cool pieces that will make me stand out. For basics, Ralph Lauren and Levi’s are also a must.

On her wellness prep…

Water, water, water! The only thing that truly gets me through any festival season. I try to stock up on healthy vitamins from fruit and veg beforehand to boost my immune system, as no doubt I’ll be hitting the burger van hard after one too many ciders.
